The largest Lithuanian laser technology company, “Light Conversion”, will implement a EUR 47.3 million investment project, “ViPalace”, in Vilnius. The company has been granted the status of a major investment project.
The plan includes the construction of a 13,000 sq. m manufacturing and research center, which will nearly triple production capacity – from 1,000 to 2,700 laser systems per year. The new complex will feature modern laboratories, cleanrooms, robotic production lines, and automated warehousing infrastructure.
The project will be implemented in stages, and around 200 new jobs are expected to be created between 2028 and 2031 for engineers, researchers, technicians, and manufacturing specialists.
“Light Conversion” is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of femtosecond laser systems. Since the majority of the company’s production is exported to international markets, this investment will further strengthen Lithuania’s position as a global center for high technology and laser expertise.
Projects of this scale demonstrate the innovative strength of Lithuanian industry, the growth of high value-added sectors, and the country’s competitiveness in global markets.
